The court later sentenced him to one day in prison for possession of cocaine and driving under the influence of alcohol. The situation was repeated in 2010, when the actor was sentenced to three months in prison. After his release, the court ordered him to receive treatment in a rehabilitation center.

Many Hollywood stars, including Angelina Jolie, Uma Thurman and Gwyneth Paltrow, have taken up arms against the former industry mastadon. The scandal, which started in 2017, led to the producer being fired from his own company and having to pay more than $17 million in compensation to victims of sexual harassment. It turned out that many employees knew about Weinstein’s violence but were afraid to stand up to him because of his influence. This precedent led to the popularity of the #MeToo movement and dramatic changes in the film industry.

It was revealed that the artist had used his fame and influence by subjecting his underage fans to psychological and sexual violence for many years. On September 27, 2021, a US jury found him guilty of racketeering, production of child pornography, and human trafficking. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison. R. Kelly is currently in prison.
