3000 people were present
This festival, which took place in southern Israel, in the Negev desert, about thirty minutes from the border with the Gaza Strip, in Palestine, welcomed almost 3,000 participants, coming from Israel, but also from European countries.
The first attacks occurred around 6.30am, according to reports CNN. Thirty minutes after the first rocket attacks, gunfire followed. In several videos posted on social media, young revelers are seen dancing while Hamas fighters appear in the background.
In other images, hundreds of young Israelis are seen fleeing the festival area. Others hid for long hours, sometimes in garbage cans to escape the gunfire.
At least 260 dead

In response, this Sunday, Israel announced attacks on Gaza. The fighting is ongoing and at the time of writing there are already more than 1,000 Palestinian and Israeli casualties.
