After the Hamas attack on the Tribe of Nova festival in southern Israel on Saturday 7 October, the international community is mobilizing. This Monday, October 9, in France, numerous demonstrations and marches of support will be organized in different cities.
In Paris, the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France (Crif) called a “march of solidarity with Israel and Israelis” in Paris. It will depart from Place Victor-Hugo, in the 16th arrondissement, at 6.30pm and head towards Place du Trocadéro. The Eiffel Tower will light up at 8pm with the colors of Israel.

Bordeaux, Montpellier, Lyon… the solidarity rallies and marches are increasing
In Bordeaux, it is always 6.30pm which the gathering described as “ apolitical and non-religious » in solidarity with Israel, second Southwest. In Marseille, it is in front of the prefecture, place Félix-Baret, in the 6th arrondissement. It will also take place at 6.30pm.
A rally will also take place starting at 6pm in Montpellier, on the Place de la Comédie Actu.frwhile in Strasbourg it will take place in front of the Council of Europe, at 6.15 pm.
In Lyon, the Crif Rhône-Alpes is organizing a demonstration on October 10th in Place Bellecour. A pro-Palestinian demonstration scheduled for Monday 9 October has been banned due to the “risk of disturbing public order”, France 3 reported.
Since Saturday, the offensive between Israel and Hamas has caused 1,100 deaths on Monday morning: 700 on the Israeli side and 413 on the Palestinian side.
