Two days before Vilda’s indictment, the judge interviewed Jenni Hermoso’s brother and a friend. According to a judicial source, both confirmed that the player had not consented and that she was subject to pressure, like people close to her, from Rubiales and her professional entourage. The Spanish press also claims that the player’s brother said he had been pressured by Vilda.

Initially cited as witnesses, the director of the men’s selection, Albert Luque, and the federation’s marketing manager, Rubén Rivera, were also indicted, the Iberian court added in a press release.
Luis Rubiales, who resigned from his position on September 10, is in the crosshairs of justice “Sexual violence ” but also “coercion » following the pressure reported.
