The victim was the target of transphobic harassment
The case began when the parents of a fifteen-year-old high school student were received by the principal of the institution where the victim, a young transgender teenager, was enrolled in the second grade.
The student’s father then filed a complaint with the city police station, claiming that his daughter had been targeted transphobic messagesas well as death threats on Instagram.
Thanks to the screenshots, the police were able to identify the author of these messages, a 14 year old teenager, and challenged him while he was in class. He was then taken into custody.
