Sharks attacked the Russian catamaran in the Pacific Ocean

This year’s shark invasion is truly spectacular. And if all the tragic news so far had come from Egypt, now the Russians in the Pacific were at risk.

This time, the predators attacked not only the tourists, but also the crew of Russian sailors who landed on the catamaran. Fortunately, the group managed to escape, but the ship itself was lost. “The crew of the Russian Ocean Road world tour, Evgeny Kovalevsky, Stanislav Beryozkin, and Vincent Thomas Etienne, were attacked by sharks in the Pacific Ocean about 835 kilometers southeast of Cairns,” the report says.

It was reported that the left rear cylinder of the catamaran was damaged after the sharks’ first attack. As a result, it sank into the water. In an emergency, the sailors endured for about a day and managed to cover about a hundred miles.

The next day, at night, the ship was attacked by sharks again, and the balloon on the right had already been bitten. The catamaran lost its balance and began to sink. The crew signaled SOS and a rescue ship from Australia headed for them.

The evacuated passengers are currently on the rescue ship and plan to continue the expedition.
