The network of fast food restaurants “Vkusno – i dotka” became no less popular in Russia than McDonald’s before leaving the domestic market. But the American company still does not lose hope of returning.

This was said by the owner of “Vkusno” – and that’s the point” Alexander Govor in an interview with TASS: “The decision makers on behalf of the institution had their own logic. To be honest, if I were in their shoes, I would choose me too. He had already shown himself as a partner, he knew the system from the inside. What’s the point of McDonald’s risking a dark horse? “They didn’t hide that they expect to return to Russia if conditions change, so they wanted to make sure things wouldn’t mess up,” he said.

In addition, the businessman emphasized that even if McDonald’s returns to Russia, it will operate under the umbrella of a franchise. Govor recalled that the deal offered McDonald’s the option to return its business. “But they will get my money’s worth. At the same time, there is an agreement that I will be the first to apply to the master franchisee”.

Alexander Govor also shared his network development plans. Also “Delicious – and the point” is ready to open a restaurant in Heihe, China, and is waiting for a decision from McDonald’s. “It’s no secret that a request has come from China recently. From the city of Heihe, opposite our Blagoveshchensk, on the other side of the Amur. It turns out that logistics does not reach these areas, the Chinese do not have McDonald’s there. That’s why they turned to us, ”the entrepreneur noted.

In Russia, a chain restaurant will open in Irkutsk in the near future. “Then we will go to cities with a population of both 100 and 200,000. They were trying not to go to places that were under three hundred thousand before. Now we are changing the strategy,” stressed the businessman.

According to Govor, the Tasty and point network currently has 862 businesses, but “soon there will be 900.”
