To my surprise, suddenly he notices me, he looks down and grabs the shoes he was wearing that night during the game, he looks at me again and asks me if I wanted them. Ball boy TJ Lewis sold them years later, in October 2022 at Sotheby’s, whose auction fetched a whopping 1.47 million dollars (1,351,000 euros). This was the highest amount ever paid for second-hand shoes at the time. Now this pair of collectible sneakers has been auctioned again starting at 100,000 dollars (about 93,000 euros) from August 8, 2023 by the Goldin website.
