Kitchen and child in the same sentence can often be synonymous with carnage. It’s not their fault, is it? They just don’t necessarily have the best coordination in their limbs. So as soon as you have to hold onto a spoon without spilling it all over the place, well, there’s none left.
But since it is by doing that we learn, we have found them there recipes that are easy to make, fun and good (yeah, we’re not stupid either), to teach them how to use a whip without necessarily putting it in their eye (or yours).
Yogurt cake recipe
Yogurt cake is THE classic for the little ones (but not only). Very easy to make and to dose, it also has the notable advantage of being very good and can be personalized as you like, adding chocolate drops, jam or whatever comes to mind. .
To make it you will need (thinking that we use the empty yogurt jar as a dispenser):
- A yogurt (cow or vegetable milk)
- 3 jars of flour
- 2 jars of sugar
- 1/2 pot oil (or melted butter)
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 sachet of yeast
- Optional : 1 teaspoon of orange blossom for flavouring
First step, empty the yogurt jar well into a salad bowl. Next, fill the yoghurt maker with flour, then with sugar. Add the eggs, mix, mix and add the half pot of oil, baking powder, orange blossom extract or whatever you want to add, like chocolate chips or apple chunks for example. We still mix everything trying not to fuck all over the place. Dip your finger into the dough as you like and transfer it all into a buttered mold.
Hey, in the oven for 35 minutes at 180 degrees! The cake is cooked when the blade of a knife can be inserted in the centre, and it comes out without a trace.
The recipe for coconut rocks

For these super regressive, good and fragrant biscuits, you will only need four ingredients. To make about 12 rocks, you’ll need:
- 60 g of grated coconut
- 60 g of granulated sugar
- 1 egg white at room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon melted butter
In a bowl, start mixing the melted butter and the egg white, using a whisk. Gradually add the sugar until frothy. We shouldn’t be making stiff egg whites either, huh, calm your wrist! Then add the coconut a little at a time while continuing to mix.
Once it is well blended, you can, with your fingers and those of your offspring, form balls, a little distanced from each other, which you can then place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
And hop goes in the oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes (The rocks should be golden.)
Cereal bars with chocolate chips

So yeah, technically it’s not really a cake, but it’s so good, healthy and easy to make that I wanted to share my very own recipe with you. Yes, I’m like that, selfless, what do you want.
To make your cereal bars (which can be made into muesli if you don’t have a suitable mold and if you wish), you will need:
- 100 g of rolled oats
- A handful of whole almonds
- A handful of hazelnuts
- 100 g of chocolate drops
- 2 tablespoons of almond or peanut puree
- 2 tablespoons of liquid honey
In a salad bowl, combine the oatmeal, the chocolate drops, the handfuls of almonds and the previously chopped hazelnuts. Then add the peanut puree and liquid honey. Mix everything well and add a little honey if you wish.
If you have financial molds, that’s perfectly fine, you just need to fill them with your preparation. If you don’t have one (like me), you can also roll out your dough on a baking tray covered with parchment paper, about a centimeter thick. When it’s cooked, all you have to do is manually cut your cereal bars. They won’t be very rectangular, but they’ll taste the same, promise. You can also break everything coarsely and crumble lightly, to make a granola to add to yogurt.
Once the preparation is finished, hop we put everything in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 170 degrees. You can put less or longer according to your taste, if you like it very crunchy or not.
Come on, let’s go get the best snacks!
