Previously : Sara Forever excelled in the first acting challenge of the competition and Kitty Space was sent back to space. With two victories in hand, Sara is THE drag queen to beat. Cookie Cunty, who sent two candidates home, calls himself “killer lip sync”.
Mini-challenge “Long live the brides” : To celebrate 10 years of Marriage for All, queens must become brides. Appeared during season 1 of “Drag Race France”, drag King Judah Drain (running the masculine gender) come officer with a very Elvis vibe look. After disastrous and hilarious wedding vows, brides must bring back an item while tied up (a nod to rotten games in marriages). “We’re really in Interville, it’s really a shame.” laments Mami Watta. Moon and Cookie Cunty win the challenge. In terms of looks, my heart was quite on the side of “white trash” brides Piche and Ginger Bitch!

Johnny and Amanda see double
Big challenge : it’s time for the Snatch Game! In this iconic challenge from the “Drag Race” franchise, the queens must enter a parody game show (“Match Game”, cult American game show), in the skin of a celebrity of their choice. The candidates are excited and panicky. Ginger Bitch comments: “You gotta tell me why drag queens love this challenge when we all get together!”.
Punani is intimidated by the presence of Amanda Lear, juror of the week with the singer Eddy de Pretto. And for good reason, she intended to imitate … Amanda Lear! This is the first time in the history of Drag Race that this situation has occurred. And that’s not the only twist: Sara and Cookie realize they’ve both chosen to play Johnny Hallyday! They disperse. Will there be two Johnnys at the Snatch Game? Faced with Cookie, who refuses any dialogue, Sara opts for her second choice.

The Snatch Game of all dangers
As with any self-respecting snatch game, some queens have come out of their shells, while others have faltered.
- Cookie Cunty as Johnny Hallyday : The trick is on top and Cookie tried to interact with the other candidates, but no valves fell into place. Lost.
- Punani as Amanda Lear : dare pay! Punani has found the right tone to imitate her idol, who laughs live at every joke. “Drag Amanda” to Amanda: “The person who works at the Grevin Museum did a good job, but apparently he was an intern.”
- Keiona in Afida Turner : full box for this hilarious incarnation, which has not lacked excellent replicas of the genre, “I was in Miami, at the Cannes Film Festival!”validated from Aphida itself. We want a bottle of champagne from his famous cru, “Ta Gueule”.

- Ginger Bitch in Victoria Silvstedt : Stepping off the orgasm gimmick in each of her lines and a good valve on “Wheel of Fortune,” this Victoria lacks nuance and response. She is a flop.
- Pitch as Geneviève de Fontenay : an amazing fall, given Piche’s outgoing personality, which failed to make her Geneviève funny. She was uncomfortable in her character and it showed.
- Luna as Brigitte Fontaine : great performance for Moon, like a fish in water. He gave us lines like: “I’m old and I fuck you with my dragonfly look!”. Downside: she refused to sing when Karl offered it to her. But the Snatch Game is also an exercise in improvisation, and the first rule of improvisation is never to say no to a game proposal!

- Mami Watta in Shauna Sand : He found the right style to embody the reality star. Her performance could have been crazier but still solid. Her best line: “My second husband didn’t need to tuck himself in, so we couldn’t see anything” !
- Sara Forever as Francoise Sagan : “Hello Sadness”. A nod to the writer’s best-known novel, this punchline unfortunately proves to be prophetic. Everything Sara tried failed except the way she looked and that huge, very campy cigarette.
In the workshop, Sara resents Cookie for forcing her hand into the Johnny Gate. “This confrontation violently abused me.” Which is equivalent to pissing in a violin, Cookie absolutely does not regret his behavior! While the queens make up, discuss their memories of passing the marriage-for-all law in 2013. Ginger Bitch has in mind the moments of jubilation of the LGBTQI+ community but also the homophobic violence of the Manif pour tous, of those people who paraded in front of churches with offensive banners, such as “Marry Your Goat”. Keiona tells us she’s been married for a year: congratulations!

A magic parade and a drowning
Parade “Under the Ocean” : It’s a festival of unforgettable aquatic looks! Piche tries to save himself as Rose enters titanicwith poor DiCaprio sinking to the back of his board. Personally, I save this pop culture queen! Punani is a charming ocean creature, dressed in delicate colored fabrics. Moon’s makeup as an oyster creature It’s incredible. Sara created a “tin can” look, which opens onto a fish trapped in plastic. One point for the green message. In iridescent jellyfish, Keiona flutters down the runway, before revealing her face surrounded by jewels and wearing a gorgeous green wig. BEAUTIFUL.
Verdict : to everyone’s surprise, Mali Watta and Cookie Cunty are safe ! Will Piche’s “titanic” parade, applauded, be enough to save her? Punani and Moon are showered with compliments on their respective Snatch Game, while Sara is understandably disappointed. She should have listened to herself and played a second Johnny. Amanda Lear does not mince words in front of Ginger Bitch and her snail gaze: “I don’t like this look at all”. Autch! Keiona stunned the jury. “This is your best look since the beginning of the season”congratulates Daphne Burki.

Bottom: Piche, Sara Forever and Ginger Bitch
Above: Punani, Keiona, Luna
Touched by Amanda Lear’s thanks for her impersonation, Punani wins the challenge! Keiona is very disappointed to see this victory elude her. “There’s a frustration and a bittersweet taste to telling yourself you’re doing well, but never well enough.”
Even on Twitter, fans disagreed with the jurors’ opinions.
Well I think we can all agree this is the worst episode picking queens who are safe, top and bottom of the two seasons of #DragRaceFrance

Haphazard decisions by the judges this year really spoil season 2 of #dragracefrance For me. No hatred towards the queens, they all bring something, but I find it hard to appreciate the season for that. I feel too much injustice every time. pic.twitter.com/NdATvYYRrE

My review of Drag Race France: not to undermine the talent of the winners but another victory that passes under Keiona’s nose and it starts to show… 👀
Pk we always ask black queens to do MORE as they kill everything?— RURU 🌈🇻🇪👨🏽🍳 (@RuruPepito) July 22, 2023
Cookie Cunty insists and signs off in his shady attitude: “Sara is safe but maybe she should have done this lip sync, it would have been good for her!”. Not depicted in its best light in this episode, Cookie experienced a wave of cyber harassment this weekend from toxic fans, and it’s never good, as he explained very well.

The lip sync between Ginger and Piche on Lorie’s “I’m going fast” is tight. But Piche, uncomfortable dancing in her dress and perhaps gripped by stage fright, drinks the cup. Nicky greets him: “Of all the eliminations this year, yours pains me the most.” Nooooo!!!
Who, who, who will be the queen?
Like many fansI am shocked of the elimination of my treasure. GIVE US A CHOICE! Moon remains at the top with Punani and I add Keiona, who I had underestimated. Sorry, jellyfish and ballroom queen! And you, who are your favorite queens?
