Photos of Russian avant-garde artists returned to Russia

Paintings of Wassily Kandinsky, Kazimir Malevich and other Russian avant-garde artists stranded in South Korea have returned to Russia, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova announced on her Telegram channel.
Paintings of Russian avant-garde artists from the collections of the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum, Krasnoyarsk Art Museum. Surikov and Primorsky Art Gallery exhibited at the exhibition “Malevich, Kandinsky, Rodchenko and the Russian avant-garde: the art of revolution” held in Seoul from December 31 to April 17.

A total of 75 paintings were exhibited in the exhibition. Due to the lack of cargo flights to Russia, they were stranded in the capital of South Korea.
In early May, Lyubimova announced the return to Russia of paintings from the Morozov collection, participating in the exhibition “New Art Masterpieces. The Morozov Brothers Collection” held in Paris. According to the French newspaper Le Monde, the French authorities have decided not to return two paintings by Pyotr Konchalovsky and Valentin Serov.
