Portal The Insider found an old interview with Stockton Rush, head of OceanGate Expeditions, in which he spoke about an incident that occurred during a test dive in the Bahamas. It was revealed that lightning struck the Titan bathtub in 2018. 70% damaged. “Fortunately, it wasn’t a direct hit. A direct blow to the carbon fiber would likely disable us completely. But we use replaceable elements. So we were able to replace all these components in just a few days.”

As we wrote earlier, the Titan bath tub of the American company OceanGate Expeditions disappeared in the Atlantic Ocean on June 18 while en route to the wreckage of the Titanic.
