There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online diary where I would take notes on the most important things in the fashion world. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine are open to all readers – so that you are aware of the most important ones.
This week’s main fashion event was Pharrell Williams’ first fashion show for Louis Vuitton. It has been discussed, condemned, criticized, ridiculed and even praised. Overall, the show has garnered a variety of reviews, so we couldn’t help but express our opinion on it. However, not just the LV show, but Isabel Marant toothpaste, Jonathan Anderson’s arc with the Ireland national rugby team jersey played by his father, and Vincent Cassel on the Ami podium (but more on that later) were discussed.
There have been some really interesting events this week, so I suggest you join me on a little digital journey through the latest news in the fashion world and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?
Breaking up with Tina Kunaki definitely benefits Vincent Cassel. The legendary actress opened the Ami brand’s fashion show here yesterday with sheer long sleeves, striped trousers, a coat and fisherman sandals (which hold a special place on the trend podium this season). By the way, if we talk about the show itself, it is worth noting that sequins, sheer things and micro shorts suit men very well.
Last Sunday, Petrovka hosted the opening of the flagship store of the Russian brand Namelazz. The boutique is located in a historic building of the late XIX century. Such a magnificent place was not chosen by chance. The team was inspired by the connection between fashion history and architecture and focused on the main features of the brand: minimalism with conciseness, well-balanced colors and delicate accents.
Meanwhile, historical details such as arched windows and vaults, restored marble from the 1930s, and even tiles have been preserved inside. In general, it is worth visiting the store not only for cool things, but also for photos for social networks.
This season, a mermaid-themed nautical aesthetic dominates the show, and all the street style heroes and fashion leaders are imitating Mediterranean mermaids and fairies. The latter, by the way, are called the Nereids. They were considered one of the most beautiful and mysterious creatures in ancient Greek mythology. It was these fairies that inspired the new collection of the Russian brand Nude Story. During production, the design team chose lightweight fabrics with a silky sheen that wraps like foam and gently hugs the body. The watercolor-printed Galatea dress, which resembles the frozen spray of the sea breeze on the snow-white fabric, occupies a special place. But my personal favorite from the Nereida collection is the Neomeric pearl dress in lightweight mesh embroidered with sparkling sequins.
June is coming to an end, which means that the summer wardrobe should already be fully stocked. If several items are still missing, you need to urgently go shopping. Where? To the stores of the Russian brand Emka, where a new collection has recently appeared and has all the basic needs. Personally, I was already interested in a white shirt with pockets, black trousers, a loose dress and, of course, a corset top with gathered straps.
So what is this bag in DJ Peggy Goo’s hand? So this is Viva La Vika. And no, she didn’t leave the store where she was photographed by the paparazzi. In this image, the Korean artist appeared at the premiere of his new track. Yes, yes, she used bags instead of bags (apparently the purse-bag trend has gone too far).
