EXCLUSIVE: Big Talk Productions is renaming itself Big Talk Studios and rearranging its top team as Matthew Justice leaves the company after 16 years.
The British manufacturer behind Amazon The prohibitions is the remarketing with a view to the USA, where it has just been packaged Dinner with parents for Freevee, a Channel 4 remake Dinner Friday night.
The executive director of the judiciary will move to a new position in the fall, which is expected to be announced later this week. He has been with Big Talk for 16 years and has a close relationship with CEO Kenton Allen, which will continue over the coming months as part of a transition process.
Justice produced films as Executive Produced Attack the block and BAFTA winning streak included rev And He she. He helped oversee the sale of Big Talk to ITV Studios in 2013 for £30m ($37m).
Christina Angeloudes, Big Talk’s head of legal and business, has been appointed commercial director, effective immediately. She has been with the company for a decade and oversees talent deals and relationships with Apple and Amazon.
Justice said: “After 16 incredible years at Big Talk, it’s time for me to take on new challenges. I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved as a company and will always be grateful for the opportunities and experiences that Big Talk has given me. I leave behind many friends and a talented team of producers and executives who I am confident will continue to deliver the high quality, original content that Big Talk is known for.”
Allen added, “Matthew has been a huge part of Big Talk’s success and I am grateful for his friendship, passion, dedication and leadership over the years. I know he will always have Big Talk in his DNA and we wish him all the best then in his future endeavors. He’s a great guy and leaves with my biggest support and best wishes.”
Founded in 1995, Big Talk is currently producing an untitled Apple TV+ series with Noel Fielding (The Mighty Evil) as Dick Turpin, the legendary British highwayman. A third season of The prohibitions is also in the works for Amazon and the BBC.
Dinner with parents is a co-production with CBS Studios and starring Michaela Watkins (comfortable), Dan Bakkedahl (sweep) and Carol Kane (The princess bride) as a quirky suburban family.
