France TV launches Virginie Efira Cannes Un Certain Regard Title All to play for

The French TV distributor has acquired international sales rights for French dramas Everything to play with ahead of its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Virginie Efira plays a single mother who finds herself in a battle with childcare and the French legal system as she tries to gain custody of her son after he is involved in an accident while she is late for work.

The drama is French director Delphine Deloget’s debut film and is produced by Curiosa Films, Unité and France 3 Cinema.

Efira enjoys a high-profile, award-winning streak in her career.

She was recently awarded Best Actress at the 2023 edition of the French César for her role in Alice Winocours Paris memories (Revoir Paris) and also won in the same category at the Lumière Awards for her role in Rebecca Zlotowski’s other people’s children.

The Belgian-French actress also received the French film award from the French film export organization Unifrance in January.

“Virginie Efira is a remarkable, unique voice in global cinema and she delivers another outstanding performance,” said SVP International Sales Julia Schulte and Deputy SVP International Sales Renan Artukmaç. “We are delighted to be the international distributor of this fascinating film.”

Ad Vitam has acquired the French rights for a 2023 release.
