More than a decade has passed since then Alison Brie I came across Ghostface Screams 4but he still has opinions about where the franchise has gone since then. According to her, one of the most shocking murders should never have happened.

Appearing on the Shut Up Podcast Evan with her husband and Together co-star Dave FrancoBrie said:

“Can I tell you my problem with the current era of the Scream franchise? Too many people live. The main four need to die… We should be down to two of the main four.”

Franco quickly reminded her, “They killed Dewey.”

Brie’s reaction was immediate.

“And it was very sad. It was a mistake. Keep the main three!”

Brie played Rebecca Walters Screams 4by Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) no-nonsense assistant whose career and life came to an abrupt end after a garage encounter with Ghostface. That film marked the final Cry directed by the legendary Wes Craven before his passing in 2015.

Dewey Riley, played by David Arquettehe met his end Screams 5a decision that many fans still don’t like. As for the surviving “core four”, Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers remain the only original characters still standing… but several characters from the franchise are returning from the dead in Screams 7.

As for new blood from Screams 5 AND 6Tara and Sam Carpenter are technically still alive, though Jenna Ortega AND Melissa Barrara they will not reprise their roles in the next film. Brie even floated the idea of her return Screams 7joking that it could happen “in a dream sequence.”
