Breslin plays Esme Brewer, a waitress who leaves home at age 15 to escape a toxic past. Local police can’t find the driver after a white nationalist gets in his car and drives away at a peaceful rally.
Go fishing to find the driver of the car, Brewer and his girlfriend Alia Harris (Di) take matters into their own hands.
Based on the BBC’s BAFTA award-winning crime anthology, Accused It unfolds in the courtroom about the defendants, whom the audience knows nothing about their guilt or how they were tried.
The series, which includes flashbacks from the eyes of the accused, tells the time we live in with exciting and emotional stories.
The series is directed by Michael Questa and co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television.
Accused producer and developer for Gordon; Ghana is executive producer for All3Media International for Shore, Glenn Geller, Erin Gann, All3Media USA Jacob Cohen-Holmes and Jimmy McGovern, Sita Williams, Roxy Spencer and Louise Pedersen. Frank Syracuse and John Weber are also executive producers. The original series, created by McGovern, debuted on BBC One in 2010.
