Will Wes Anderson’s new film dethrones Kingdom of the moonrise, Fantastic Mr. Fox OR The Grand Hotel Budapest in our hearts ? If it’s too early to tell, we’re already entitled to a small previewCity of Asteroidswhose trailer has just been unveiled.
Who are the stars in the cast of Asteroid City?

Costumes and sets directly from the 90s, pastel colors, a soundtrack with country atmospheres. If the first images immediately immerse us in Wes Anderson’s recognizable aesthetic universe, the surprise of this trailer lies precisely in this absolutely impressive cast feature film.
Few films can boast of uniting both Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Willem Dafoe OR Margot Robbie and Matt Dillon, who sign their first collaboration with Wes Anderson here.
Director with prolific filmography plans to continue his film momentum with XXL casting after his latest film The French Expedition which, released in 2021, brought together international headliners such as Léa Seydoux, Timothée Chalamet, Frances McDormand and Saoirse Ronan.
The synopsis of the film
Much like the trailer, the film’s synopsis is intriguing: City of Asteroids tells the story of A fictional American city located in the desert. In 1955, the city held a “Junior Stargazer” convention, which brought together students and parents from all over the country for academic competitions. For the rest, we just have to deploy our imagination: aliens they will invite themselves to the competition, as this trailer suggests to the sci-fi undertones ? Nothing is impossible, especially since the screenplay is written by Wes Anderson himself!

Asteroid City, where and when does it come out?
Wes Anderson fans will have a date the day of the music festival as the film will be released in dark rooms June 21st !
