Ana Cabrera joins the launch of MSNBC’s daily series Ana Cabrera reports on 10.04.
Her move to MSNBC has been anticipated since she announced she was leaving CNN in December. The hour-long show airs at 10 a.m. ET. Kerrie Wudyka is the executive producer.
Cabrera has worked at CNN in Denver since 2013 before becoming an anchor CNN newsroom. On the network, she hosted two presidential town halls and covered major stories, including the protests in Ferguson, Mo. and the return to the United States of North Korean prisoner Kenneth Bae. Denver, and was an anchor and reporter at NBC and Fox affiliates in Spokane, WA.

Cabrera won a regional Emmy in 2012 for her coverage of the High Park fire in Colorado.
Cabrera fills a spot previously held by Jose Diaz-Balart. His show was pushed back an hour to 11 a.m. ET, and a rotating slate of hosts filled the 10 p.m. slot under the banner MSNBC reports.
MSNBC has made other changes to its schedule in recent months. Hallie Jackson’s afternoon show ended as she expanded her presence on the NBC News Now platform. Chris Jansing has added an hour to her hosting duties, now from 1:00 PM ET to 3:00 PM. ET, and Katy Tur’s show was moved to the 3 p.m. slot.
