Friends Star Courteney Cox and British producer Sister are investing in British TV producer Richard Bacon’s new production venture.

Bacon has launched Yes Yes Media, which will have offices in London and LA and will focus on non-scripts and have a large number of high-profile investors. In addition to Cox and Sister, the company supports Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid, 17-time Grammy nominee Savan Kotecha and French production house Satisfaction.

Sister, the producer behind it Chernobyl And Giri/Haji, took a “significant stake” in the company. Ja Ja will absorb sister’s investments in television, films, podcasts, publishing and live events to secure work.

Satisfaction will also have a “significant” stake in the company and has signed a deal with Bacon to co-develop formats for local and global buyers.

Bacon, best known for presenting a British children’s TV magazine show Blue Peter, also plans to develop proprietary hardware and software to enable viewers to interact with formats across multiple devices. To this end, he hired California-based tech entrepreneurs Geoff Abbott and Reed Seerman.

“We’re really in the TikTok era now, but traditional television entertainment hasn’t fully embraced it in a way that feels native,” Bacon said. “I see all the screens now as TVs. At Yes Yes, we develop content that naturally and authentically engages audiences on each of their devices. We write talent and game shows, work with a video game company and create formats that we stream live to viewers as everyone watches and changes the story.

Bacon is also working with McDaid and Kotecha, who wrote hits for Ariana Grande and The Weeknd, to develop music formats.

Co-founder Sister Elisabeth Murdoch said Bacon is a “bold, creative entrepreneur who is full of ideas and really thinks differently,” while Satisfaction founder and producer Arthur Essebag added, “It’s much more than just an investment: it’s ours.” faith in Richard’s talent and amazing creativity, and our desire to help him create a new wave of unscripted formats with never-before-seen technology.”

Cox took to social media earlier this week in a video for the upcoming second season of the unscripted BBC hit The traitorsShe joked with host Claudia Winkleman and was keen to get a chance on the show.

The BBC has had several assignments for Bacon over the past few years This is my house and take ABC The hustle and bustle. He previously had production deals with Universal Television Alternative Studio and Universal Television, but Deadline believes those are now over.
