Jessica’s other sister, Angelica Michibata, also took to Instagram and posted a message with a photo of a sunset.

The model apologized on her sister’s behalf for the “uproar” and shared her concerns about the coverage.

“I’m sorry my sister made such a fuss this time,” Angelica wrote on Tuesday.

“I am very worried, but for now I leave it to the lawyer and the police and I trust her and wait for the results.

“And there is no change in protection and family support,” she added.

According to local media reports, Michibata denies the allegations.

A customs official allegedly found the synthetic drugs in an overseas package bound for Japan, with Michibata’s Tokyo hotel as the delivery address.

Investigators from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department searched the hotel and arrested Michibata and her acquaintance on March 18 (Saturday), reports said.

According to some local reports, the acquaintance was a man dating Michibata.

Japan’s YTV News interviewed Toru Hirohata, the former head of the country’s drug control agency, about the case.

He said the arrests were likely made through a “controlled delivery investigation” suggesting that customs officials discovered the drugs in the luggage and replaced them with a counterfeit.

The information is then passed on to the police, who track the package. When it is delivered to its final destination, the suspects will be arrested in the act, Mr Hirohata said.

YTV explained that the drugs are being replaced with fakes to prevent the real drug from reaching civilians, which customs officials would be guilty of if they found it and had it delivered anyway.

Michibata currently lives in the United States for her work as a model. She was born in Japan and was visiting Tokyo at the time of her arrest.
