As Series Mania 2023 draws to a close, event founder and executive director Laurence Herszberg today announced the winners of the Series Mania festival.
“First of all, we want to thank the public and professionals who attended this edition, which brought together more than 85,000 participants for the Festival and 3,800 participants from 64 countries for the Forum. We are pleased to announce our price list and figures, which far exceeded our expectations,” said Herszberg.
With the global rise of streaming, Series Mania has become one of the most compelling events on the global TV calendar. It is widely regarded as a place for writers, distributors and producers to communicate in a less formal setting than in a TV sales market. This does not only include the festival, the forum, key conferences, keynotes and pitching sessions.
This year, the festival screened 54 unreleased series with 32 world premieres and 10 international premieres. It opened with the world premiere of the French series by Cédric Klapisch Greek saladby Primevideo.
The final series was the Netflix world premiere of Anna Wingers TransatlanticWith Gillian Jacobs, Corey Stoll, Gregory Montel and Lucas Englander.
