For the past year and a half, rumors have been circulating on the Internet that Artem is planning to leave Artik & Asti and become the lead singer of Sevil as a solo artist. A year ago, worried about such news, we turned to Artem Umrikhin (real name of the artist – Ed.) for a comment, in which he denied these rumors. And here again.
Today, the telegraph channel “Babskaya Kurilka” published the news that the “Artik & Asti group will soon cease to exist”. Like “You don’t need the prefix anymore”, that is, Sevil will perform under her own name. Here take two.
Artem Umrikhin officially denied rumors that the The Fashion Vibes group was disbanding. He also shared his plans for the future of Artik&Asti and Sevil’s solo works:
“This is not the first news of this kind. For a year and a half, such news was constantly published, with a regularity of once a month. At first I even made some comments about it but then we stopped paying attention to it within the team and we just laughed.
Literally a month ago, we released a new song and video “Doll”, and before that they wrote that “Harmony” is the last song of the group Artik & Asti. The song immediately took to all the charts, and some special folks write that the song is weak. Probably someone needs this because they’re constantly typing. So funny.
Yes, we don’t release songs every week, but we never planned this.
Artik & Asti has a pretty big baggage of hits, we have an excellent concert program where every song is a hit, there are very few artists who have the same. So we don’t need to post often.
But the process continues, of course we are writing new material for Artik & Asti and we have an exit plan agreed with the company.
As for Sevilla’s solo work, it was initially in our plans. In our first meeting, we said that we would write and release separate songs for both Artik & Asti and Sevilla.
This is common practice, especially since the band has a particular format and style that we don’t plan to deviate from, and we have more freedom to experiment with Sevilla’s solo work and more tools to unlock its potential.
