If the final version of the law is not yet known, the deputies have significantly modified the initial text which provided for sentences of up to ten years’ imprisonment for anyone who commits ” homosexual acts or declaring that you are LGBTQI+. The law must now be submitted to President Yoweri Museveni, who can promulgate or veto it.
