A father forced his 11-year-old son to play video games for 17 hours straight without sleeping after watching him play on his smartphone in bed.
The exhausted boy – from Shenzhen city, Guangdong province, China – said his father started punishing him when he caught him playing at 1am.
Instead of confiscating the phone, the father – referred to as Mr Huang in local media – dragged him out of bed and forced him to play for 17 hours.
The disturbing images show the boy being roused in his pajamas to continue playing, even as he slumps in his chair.
In a heartfelt letter, the boy wrote: “So my father found out. Then my father punishes me.

“Let me play enough. Play until you throw up.”
He continued, “Well, I’ve been woken up several times. It’ll take all day anyway. From 1:00 AM to 6:00 PM, I’ve just played for 17 hours.”
Mr Huang overturned the sentence only when his son broke down in tears and agreed to a new deal limiting his playing time.
His father filmed the lesson and shared it on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – claiming he only did it as a last resort and to discourage other parents.

The boy wrote a candid note explaining how he was forced to “play until I puke.” He also promised to stop playing on his phone before going to bed
