We see actress and singer Halle Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as the octopus Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric or even Javier Bardem as King Triton. We also hear the voices of the young actor Jacob Tremblay for the fish Flounder, that of Daveed Diggs for the crab Sebastien and that of the actress and rapper Awkwafina for the seagull Eureka.
The synopsis of The Little Mermaid in live action
The synopsis remains essentially the same as the historical animated film:
Ariel, the youngest daughter of King Triton, is a beautiful and fiery young mermaid with an adventurous temperament. Rebellious at heart, she is constantly drawn to the world that exists beyond the waves. At the turn of her surface escapades, she will fall under Prince Eric’s spell. While mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel still feels she must follow her heart. She then concludes a deal with Ursula, the terrible witch of the seas, which grants her the power to live on land, but without suspecting that this pact endangers her-her life and her father’s crown.. .
When does The Little Mermaid come out in live-action in France?
