The 95th Academy Awards were held in Los Angeles last night. The event was indeed rich in celebrity debuts – and now the theory about the end of the red carpet glory era was again in doubt. Celebrities of the first size – from Nicole Kidman to Kate Hudson – set three trends: sequins, textured flowers and even bridal pictures in harmonious tones. And Emily Blunt not only did well in the last category, but in principle outshined all the stars on the red carpet of the award. Sorry, beige.

The Devil Wears Prada star clearly captured the key trend at formal events: the actress opted for a minimalist white Valentino dress with long sleeves from the exposed collarbones and bodice of the dress. Cherries – drop earrings with pink stones, a few silver rings, a clutch with rhinestones and platform shoes.

An excellent play of shadows with the basic rule of minimalism – no more than three colors are used in the image. And there is clear evidence before us that the rejection of the invention of the bicycle (read from the intricate sculptural forms and the overly bright details of clothing) almost always wins. Out of 22 possible award nominations, 23 wins.
