A koala climbed into a gas station in South Australia before picking up a worker’s leg.
The 5.7kg (11lb) female koala walked through the front doors of the Ampol petrol station in the Adelaide Hills at the weekend.
CCTV footage shows the marsupial wandering past shelves of soft drinks and lollipops before ending up behind the counter.
The koala surprised the maid when she worked up her leg.
“I don’t know how to get it off,” says the worker.
The koala decided to jump off the worker’s leg and then searched the shelves for almost 40 minutes until Koala Rescue Inc arrived and released her in a forest about 500 meters away.
Wildlife rescue volunteer Jemma Manfre said the koala ran into a tree after being released and didn’t look back until she got to the top.
