Sideshow & Janus Films Continue Berlin Releases to Acquire North American Rights to Silver Bear Grand Jury Award Winner Afire

Sideshow and Janus Films have acquired the North American rights to German director Christian Petzold’s new film A fireafter its acclaimed world premiere in competition at the Berlin Film Festival.

On Sunday evening (February 25), the work was awarded the Grand Prix of the Berlin Jury, the Silver Bear, by an international jury chaired by Kristen Stewart.

The comedy-drama revolves around four very different young people who are unexpectedly thrown together in a remote holiday home on the Baltic Sea.

In the rainless summer heat, sparks begin to fly between the group, while the bare bushes around the house also begin to catch fire.

News of the acquisition comes as Sideshow and Janus Films announced Tuesday that they have acquired the North American rights to the Mexican league title. totem.
