Former Bath rugby player Davis, 24, went missing on October 29 after leaving a friend in Ibiza to catch the ferry to Barcelona alone.

However, it has since emerged that he sent a message to a friend via WhatsApp after midnight on October 30 – hours after Davis was spotted leaving an Irish bar in Barcelona – according to the BBC.

In the voice memo, Davis, who has been missing for four months, said his friend Barcelona was “absolutely lovely”. ‘It’s impressive. I literally get all my inspiration. I love it. It’s so good,” he said.

This voicemail is the last known contact Davis had with any of his friends or family.

Now Spanish investigators are investigating whether a crime was committed in the Levi’s case (photo).

It comes after Spanish detectives from a special crime unit in Spain said they were now investigating the “disturbing” disappearance of Davis four months ago.

They told the BBC there were “disturbing” problems with Davis’ case, as there was “no logical explanation” for what happened to him.

Meanwhile, Davis’ friend Richard Squire, who is leading an appeal to find the X Factor star, said the past four months had been an “emotional rollercoaster”.

He said: “I’m dealing with people I’ve never met before. They don’t know which information is correct and which is wrong. And it’s just incredibly disturbing.

Even though it’s been four months, every day feels like day one. And it’s hard, it’s hard.’

Squire said Davis went to his place in Ibiza to work on some songs before he disappeared. Squire said he last saw Davis when he dropped him off in Ibiza Town on October 28 so he could meet friends.

The next day, October 29, Squire said he texted Davis to check on him and said he had left Ibiza.

Squire explained: “Of course I was worried about him. I said, ‘Where to?'” He said, “Barcelona, ​​I’m going to meet some friends.”

“Then I sent him a voicemail saying: ‘You’re worrying me. Please tell me where you are.’”

Squire claims Davis told him he would call him when he got to Barcelona – but he never did.

Meanwhile, a friend of Davis revealed last week that a text they sent to the rugby star on December 15 was read two months after his disappearance in Spain.

The message reads: “Please come home. I love you. And miss you xx.’

Below the last message is a “Read” message, indicating that someone has seen the message.

Davis – who also appeared on X Factor: Celebrity – was last seen leaving an Irish pub in central Barcelona on October 29 last year.

His family fear the 24-year-old winger may have drowned in the sea near the city’s harbour.

They are frustrated by the reluctance of police in the Catalan city to search CCTV footage and send divers to search the waters at the ferry terminal where his passport was found a week after he disappeared.

Davis’ relatives say they are angry at speculation he may have been kidnapped from the streets of Barcelona by a Somali gang as he racked up an unpaid debt of £100,000 in London.

Davis spoke of blackmail by criminals who threatened to kill him and his family in a chilling latest video, which he initially deleted and resurfaced last week – three months after he disappeared in Barcelona.

Gavin Burrows, whose Line of Inquiry company is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to Davis, says he has received a tape which claims a TV producer took compromising photos of the rugby player who became a reality star after appearing on the X Factor.

There is no indication that he worked or had anything to do with the hit show or any other reality TV show that Davis came out with the following year.

Mr Burrows claimed in a tweet: “Over a number of years, after the Levi Davis case came to light, we received valuable alleged information from a number of former contestants and other contestants on the X Factor show, which the allegations in Davis. The video appears to be true.”

Mr Burrows said he found Davis’ Instagram video of alleged blackmail, which he had only posted four days before his disappearance, and with the permission of family and friends released it for information.

He was picked up by CCTV at around 10pm on October 29 as he left the Old Irish Pub at La Rambla in Barcelona, ​​a few hours after boarding a boat with just 40 euros (£35) and no clean clothes taken from Ibiza.

Friend Richard Squire, who officially reported him missing to Barcelona police after his family alerted West Midlands police, described his decision to leave the island as “sudden”.
