Broadway’s upcoming production of FastHorses Larissa The Thanksgiving Game plays D’Arcy Carden (The good place), two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran (sound out; promise promise), Scott Foley (scandal) and Chris Sullivan (It’s us, Hadestown).
The cast was announced today by Second Stage Theatre.
This new production, directed by Tony Award-winning actress Rachel Chavkin, begins its previews at Second Stage’s Hayes Theater on March 25th and officially opens on April 20th.
The satirical play follows a group of well-meaning theater actors as they attempt to stage a culturally sensitive Thanksgiving school pageant. The play, say the producers, “pushes everything right, wrong and awake in America.”
Carden, who made her Broadway debut, was nominated for an Emmy for her role as “Janet” in “Janet.” The good placeand starred as “Greta” in the Amazon series A competition in itself. She returns as “Natalie” on HBO barry.
In addition to her Tony Award-winning performances in Sound out And promise promiseFinneran appeared on Broadway in Annie, The Iceman Cometh and Cabaret, among others and on TV The golden age, bloodline And Brockmire. She will next appear in the new Hulu series Above here.
Foley’s extensive television credits include The great leap, scandal, happiness And true blood, amongst other things. He made his Broadway debut in the violet hour and in 2014 he starred in the Donald Margulies play The Villa at the theater in Geffen.
Sullivan received two Emmy nominations for his performance as Toby Damon on NBC’s It’s usand he appeared Stranger Things, The Knick, The Americans and in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Broadway credits are included Lombardy, Chicago, And Good job if you can get it.
