Mariah Carey surprised the audience at Friday night’s performance Some love it when it’s hot On Broadway. The musical star, who joined the musical as a co-producer in November ahead of its premiere, performed with the cast at the curtain call at the end of the show.
“Some like in Hot has a very special meaning to me because I grew up with Marilyn Monroe because my mom was a big fan of hers and then I found out and I got to know her and I read Norman Mailer books that for a little girl was, was too much, but I read it anyway,” Carey told the standing-up crowd (see video below).
Carey can be heard at the beginning of each performance Some love it when it’s hot via a record of their reading instructions on using cell phones.
