Kendall Jenner tried on an ultra-short dress (and proved once again that a mini length can look very elegant)

With the return of zero trends, which, to our joy, were slowly fading, the mini length marked “extra” has returned to wide use by fashion influencers and stars. Moreover, in most cases she looked extremely impudent, and besides, such an attempt could not be considered valid for girls larger than XS. However, the other day Kendall Jenner presented a great image from that very rare occasion category where the length of the mini not only sets the whole outfit but also looks elegant without any overt hint of sexuality.

It’s all about the material. In the designer. The model chose a complete look from Bottega Veneta’s spring/summer 2023 collection for the Grammy 2023 after-party. A draped velvet bodycon mini dress in burgundy tones is complemented by tone-on-tone tights, pointed-toe low-heeled shoes and a black bag in Maison’s signature knit.

Now let’s focus on the three main accents. First, the gold-coloured metal pads of the dress pair well with the solid earrings in the same palette. Second – Kendall’s outfit had a trend for colored tights. And finally, the third. Thanks to the velvet material of the top and the intersecting shades of the dress and the tights, the ultra-short length of the outfit looks concise without a single hint of provocation. And while we have a clear appreciation for Mathieu Blazy, not Kendall herself or her stylist, the ability to walk total images is no easy task either. It must be because there is a model who is considering converting a midi from a fashion show to a mini on the way out.
