The earthquake started at 04:17 local time (coinciding with Moscow time) at a depth of 17.9 km, near the city of Gaziantep with a magnitude of 7.4. It turned out so strong that it affected six regions of the country at the same time. It was also felt in Northern Cyprus, Beirut (Lebanon), Latakia and even Damascus (Syria).
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the total death toll from the earthquake in Turkey has now increased to 912 people, 5 thousand 385 people have been injured at the moment, and it is now impossible to estimate the exact number of victims.
