At the end of last week, the death of Paco Raban became known. And February 3, 2023 will now forever be considered a black day for the entire fashion industry. It was Paco, whom the press affectionately called “high-fashion Jules Verne,” who was the first to consider using music instead of monotonous speech descriptions of images of fashion models in shows, and helped make futurism sound flattering in the distant 1960s – we wrote more about the master’s creations here. And of course, the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony, which ended this morning, couldn’t help but pay homage to the great designer.

Paco Rabanne Spring 2021 Ready-to-Wear
Cardi B decided to pay homage to Paco’s memory at the event, definitely the best outfit of all the outfits from the stars on the red carpet. But the hip-hop artist has not failed at all with his stage image. Cardi chose a metallic Paco Rabanne dress, a silver cap and a matching large bracelet from the brand’s spring-summer 2021 collection.
Ahead of us is perhaps the designer’s most recognizable fashion code, and it was a fine thread throughout all of his creations. We’re pretty sure we’ll see metallic more than once in the gossip column. I wish we were dealing with a real trend. And for that matter, Paco has always been different from everyone else.
