“Got Talent”, “Idols” and “X Factor” to be discontinued for Arabic-dubbed YouTube channel

EXCLUSIVE: Fremantle brings its biggest entertainment programs to the Arab world.

The manufacturer has entered into a two-year partnership with UK artificial intelligence startup Papercup, which will launch the UK and US versions of idols, Got talent and The X factor is presented to Arab audiences via the YouTube channel Talent World (known locally as علم الموحبة).

Papercup will use its AI technology to localize hundreds of hours of Fremantle content into Arabic. As a result, the shows are automatically translated and dubbed with “expressive synthetic voices”.

Fremantle sees the deal as potentially bringing millions of new viewers to the content “without the costs and barriers associated with traditional studio dubbing.”

Fremantle and Papercut are already working together on a Spanish YouTube channel in partnership with Papercup. These localized hours of content Got talent from all over the world as Los Mejores Talentos En Español (The best of Got Talent Spain). A few months after its launch, the channel has almost 19 million views.

Papercup was founded in 2017. Its dubbed content has reached more than 350 million people in non-English speaking areas in the past 12 months. The company claims that its custom systems “create expressive synthetic voices specifically suited for video”, “create compelling translated content that outperforms closed captioning offerings and can be delivered at a speed and price that traditional dubbing struggles to match.” ” “.
