In a new documentary called Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, the actress finally opened up about her infamous relationship with Michael Jackson and ticked all the i’s.
Shields claims they have never met or had sex, despite Jackson’s claims to the contrary multiple times.
They met when they were 13 and quickly became friends. Brooke and Michael became famous at an early age and had a lot of responsibility on their shoulders, but what Shields says most is that they were both “like kids” when they were teenagers and later as adults. “They were pretty young in some ways and mature in some ways,” she explains.
“We hung out,” Brooke said of their friendship, insisting there was nothing that connected them any more. However, she says Michael is fascinated to be seen with her. For example, when they planned to go out for dinner, the paparazzi were already waiting for them. Brooke hints that the singer warned them beforehand to photograph the stars together.
Things came to a head in 1993 when Michael told Oprah Winfrey that he and Brooke were dating. The actor later called her confused because she was in a relationship with Dean Cain at the time. According to Brooke, they moved away from each other after that. And in 2001, Jackson said that Brooke was “one of the greatest loves of his life.” “I think he loved me as much as I loved him, you know? We talked often. We walked a lot. His pictures were on my wall, on my mirror, everywhere.”
