The nonprofit Hollywood Partnership will launch a community hotline later this month. The aim is to pay attention to the safety, cleanliness and hospitality of the reception area. The organization serves an area that stretches from Hollywood Blvd. to La Brea, to Sunset and to the Hollywood 101 Freeway.
The new center is located at 6562 Hollywood Blvd. The center will employ three teams of “ambassadors” who will proactively monitor the area day and night, clean up trash, remove litter and graffiti, pressure wash sidewalks, take safety precautions for non-urgent issues, and provide guidance and directions for visitors can find themselves easily in the neighborhood right.
“The Hollywood Partnership Council is committed to operating the most efficient services,” said Katie Ullman Zandona, Chair of the Hollywood Partnership Council. “The HPCDC will provide our stakeholders with quick and easy access to clean, safe and hospitality services and will dramatically expand our eyes and ears on the road. This is the next big step for The Hollywood Partnership and we look forward to building a better Hollywood for everyone.”
In addition to day-to-day services, this unique facility will also serve as a joint operations center in partnership with Urban Alchemy, a nonprofit social enterprise that addresses situations where extreme poverty is intertwined with homelessness, mental illness and addiction from Hollywood 4WRD, a coalition of local service agencies in Hollywood working to end Hollywood homelessness to actively connect the homeless and sick with the services they need most.
“For the first time in Hollywood, we are bringing together diverse resources to create a holistic and meaningful approach to drive real change in the public domain,” said Kathleen Rawson, CEO of The Hollywood Partnership. “Hollywood is home to teams of incredible individuals and organizations who are dedicated to this community and focus their energies on finding solutions to our toughest problems. By working together, we can create more impact. Through our HPCDC partnerships, we now have a way to connect these members of our community directly with attorneys and services. If a call comes into our head office, we can put one of our social service providers through immediately.
