Just weeks away from Marvel’s next big screen debut, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania, which promises to be the biggest Ant-Man movie ever made, with the baddest and most at stake villain. In the film, “the superhero collaborates with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangelina Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents, Hank Pym (Michele Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michael Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

The biggest obstacle facing the superheroes is nemesis Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Major, who is trapped in the Quantum Realm. The actor sat down with Fandango recently along with his co-stars, and chatted about the character and where he is when we find him:
“Well, they’ve descended to the Quantum Realm, the Quantum Realm is my current domain. That’s where I am. And as the title says, I’ve conquered it. So, he’s an isolated man. Right there. He’s working on it.”
He went on to add:
“Here’s the thing with the villains, right? Or, with any character. But, specifically with the villains. Yes, there’s the manifestation of power. , something I found so interesting that his pain, suffering, discomfort and frustration with society and the world are so great in him that [those qualities] they allowed him to transform into the super-villain you see. It’s that internal friction that gives it that power. Now, how does it manifest itself? Stay tuned! Yes, the pain of him is great and so great that he lives up to the title of being the biggest and baddest MCU villain we’ve ever had.”
To say this is the biggest and baddest villain in the MCU is a bold statement! Thanos was quite menacing and caused devastating damage, so I’m both scared and excited to see what Kang is bringing to the table!
We’ll find out soon, when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
