Dmitri Perov, 31, was “liquidated” by a Russian sniper today after fleeing the front lines in Ukraine, feared to have warned other mutineers not to desert in anticipation of another massive mobilization of Russian troops.

Perov, who fought in Putin’s barbaric war in Ukraine before deciding to flee, left his military unit armed with an automatic weapon and ammunition and traveled 350 miles to Russia, Russian authorities claim.

It also comes after ex-convicts drafted into the Ukraine war claimed Putin has a “group of liquidators” to publicly execute deserters.

Last week, prisoners transferred from their prison cells to the front lines of the war with the Wagner group of private mercenaries said they witnessed the death of disobedient comrades at the hands of commanders.

Former convict Yevgeny Novikov told Polygon Media and the independent outlet Mozhem Obyasnit: “Those who disobey will be eliminated – and this will be done publicly.”

Novikov said the “groups of liquidators” were dealing with troops considered problematic.
