Wasserman Music acquired Paradigm UK’s live music management business, expanding its roster of global clients and deepening its European presence, joining the live music division of Paradigm North America it acquired last year.
The company has 24 agents and a total of 72 employees, representing what Wasserman described as a “world-class roster” of pop, rock, electronic and hip-hop artists.
As part of the deal, British partners Dave Halibon, Alex Hardy, Tom Schroeder and James Whiting have joined the management team of Wasserman Music.
London Partners founded what was then the CODA agency in 2002, before partnering with Paradigm in 2014, fully exiting under the name Paradigm five years later. Ron Burkley Yucaipa was a minority shareholder in the company.
“I am very proud to bring Alex, Dave, James, Tommy and their team together with the full strength of our Wasserman Music group,” said Casey Wasserman, president and CEO of Wasserman.
“Not only have they endured a pandemic once in a lifetime, but they have made it a priority for their clients and associations to live up to our values and commitment to talent. With this band under the same banner now, we now have a truly useful and large-scale global music practice and look forward to strengthening our platform together. “
Wasserman Music began in April 2021 with the acquisition of Paradigm’s North American live music business.
Paradigm will continue to partner with Wasserman Music with a joint representation of musical clients in film, television, theater and publishing.
Wasserman represented McGuirwood as US legal counsel and Clark Wilmott as UK counsel. Paradigm was represented by Venable LLP as US legal counsel and Osborne Clark as UK legal counsel.
