They are also porous which means their scales have opened and you can feel them just by running your thumb and forefinger over one of your strands.

If you have trouble untangling them when wetthat break, get tangled even more, it is also a sign that they tend to assume an elastic consistency far from the original one.

Finally, if they tend to be often swollen and frothy when they are dry, a bit like when it is humid outside, it is a sign that it is time to act to allow them to shelter.

How to fight bubble gum hairs?

There are several ways to combat the bubble gum hair phenomenon.

  • Take oil baths

Coconut, argan, sweet almond, jojoba, castor oil or even olive… All these oils have the power protect the hair fiber from external aggressions. But they can too hydrate and nourish the fiber everything inside pamper the scalp which is often attacked.

  • Add pure keratin to your treatment

If your hair becomes soft and supple, it’s because you lack keratin. It must be said that this protein is very sensitive to heat (from water, hair dryer or styling tools), but also sulphates present in shampoos to make them lather.
