It’s a wave of refined minimalism sweeping through the beauty world. Rather than betting on decorations that can tire easily, the simplicity of a manicure with a dazzling shine and glossy finish is a must. In any case, this is the idea behind the trend “lipgloss” which, since the end of the year, has already made a lot of noise. A name that conjures up everything but a nail trend, we give you that. But he has a rather interesting idea: make your nails shiny like lip gloss would. A manicure that suits all skin tones but above all for all tastes and which provides a clean effect without frills.

How to get this ultra shiny effect?
If you can easily achieve this manicure with classic varnish, you should however know that the glossy effect of the gel remains incomparable. To get started, apply to a thin protective base on the nails. The latter will help form a barrier between the varnish and the nail plate.
Then add two coats of paint. The color of the latter is to your liking. It can be pink, brown, milky, or choose a more blunt shade like black or burgundy. It’s up to you but however, know that glossy manicures generally look best on a color close to your natural skin tone.
Once these two coats have been applied, it’s time for the show stopper: the overcoat. To get the expected result, which is therefore very lucid, it is important to bring a product thicker than the average and above all very shiny. If the effect doesn’t look bright enough, you can apply some glitter powder with a brush (similar to the one used to replicate the “glazed donut nails” trend before adding top coat again.
