Foo Fighters ready to continue after Taylor Hawkins death

It’s been a very difficult year for the Foo Fighters following the death of popular drummer Taylor Hawkins in March. But it looks like the group is ready to move on to the next chapter in 2023.

In a heartfelt post on their social media accounts, the band paid tribute to Hawkins as he announced they would be continuing to perform. “As we say goodbye to the most difficult and tragic year our band has ever known, we are reminded of our gratitude for the people we love and cherish the most, and for the loved ones who are no longer with us, we.”

The note continues, “Foo Fighters was founded 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and a continuation of life, and over the past 27 years our fans have built a global community, a dedicated support system that we helped everyone come together. through the darkest times, a place to share our joys and our pains, our hopes and fears, forming a chorus of life together through music.”

“Without Taylor we would never have been the band we were,” it continues, “and without Taylor we know we’re going to be a different band going forward.”

It ended with the words: “We also know that you, the fans, have meant as much to Taylor as he has to you. And we know that when we see you again – and we will soon – he will be in our thoughts every night with all of us.

The Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl have performed in several tribute concerts for Hawkins in recent months. Grohl appeared as a drummer, as well as Hawkins’ own son Oliver in one performance.

Hawkins was found dead on March 25 in a hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, where the Foo Fighters were scheduled to play a festival. No cause of death was given. he was 50
