In a recent column for Britain, TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson opened a can of royal whip-shit for his comments about Meghan Markle The sun tabloid On Saturday, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan rejected an apology from the newspaper for running the column, calling it a “PR stunt” and saying they had not been contacted directly.
“While the public fully deserve the regret of publishing their dangerous comments, we would not be in this situation if The Sun did not continue to exploit and abuse hatred, violence and misogyny,” a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said.
“A sincere apology would be a change in their messaging and ethical standards for everyone. Unfortunately, we are not holding our breath.”
Clarkson wrote in the column about Duchess Meghan: “At night I can’t sleep, I lie there gritting my teeth and dream of the day when she has to parade naked through the streets of every city in Britain while the crowd chants: ” Violate! ‘ sang! and throw bits of excrement at them.”

Outrage erupted from readers of the embarrassing column. Britain’s regulator, the Independent Press Standards Organisation, said it had received more than 17,500 complaints, the highest number of any article since its inception in 2014.
The sun, said in his apology: “We at The Sun regret the publication of this article and sincerely regret it.” The offending column has been removed from the website and archives.
More than 60 lawmakers have signed a letter from Caroline Nokes, chair of Parliament’s Special Committee on Women and Equality, to the editor of The sun Warnings about such articles contribute to a climate of hatred and violence against women.
In a statement posted on Twitter last week, Clarkson said he was “shocked that he caused so much pain” and would “be more careful going forward.”
