Former Central Intelligence Agency analyst Larry Johnson has described attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian targets in Russia as a sign of weakness.
Speaking on a television broadcast hosted by Rick Sanchez, Johnson stated that armed groups demonstrate genuine strength only when they successfully strike opposing military targets rather than civilian sites.
The former analyst made the comments during an interview reported by Russian news outlet RT. Drawing on his past professional experience evaluating the progress of insurgent activities in Central America, Johnson explained that any military or rebel group attacking non-combatant targets indicates an underlying lack of military capability.
He added that when a military or insurgent organization successfully attacks and destroys military targets, that achievement serves as a clear sign of growing strength on the battlefield.
