Lady Gaga has welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, following nearly five months away from public view. Exclusive photos obtained by the Daily Mail show the 40-year-old singer disembarking a private jet in Los Angeles on Sunday, cradling her baby.

Gaga wore an elegant trench coat, a full-length gown and towering heels for the outing, with her bleach-blonde hair freshly styled in a blowout. Staff accompanying the star were seen carrying a car seat for the baby, as well as one of Gaga's French bulldogs, off the plane and into a waiting SUV on the tarmac.

The glamorous arrival was a sharp contrast to a more low-key sighting just days earlier, when Gaga was spotted in Northern California wearing pajama pants with her baby tucked into a front sling.

Source describes new mom in 'full nesting mode'
"She has been in full nesting mode and has never been happier in her life because being a mother was a very large goal, even more than becoming a successful musician," a source told the Daily Mail. "This is a dream for her, she is in heaven and relishing every moment."

Gaga's retreat from the spotlight has fueled speculation that she and Polansky, 42, may have already married, though the singer has not publicly addressed either a secret wedding or the birth of her baby. Since her sold-out Mayhem Ball world tour wrapped in April, she has been staying at her new $10 million mansion in Marin County, California, where she and Polansky are said to have been enjoying time together away from cameras.

Her social media activity has also slowed, with posts largely limited to promotion for her makeup brand, Haus Labs, rather than glimpses of her personal life.

Baby is 'a few months old,' source says
"The baby is a few months old and she has been a mom for a while, she just kept the baby news quiet," the source said. "She has been able to do so because she has mostly been at her new home in Marin County, which is extremely private."

The source insisted Gaga's first public outings with her baby were not an attempt to make a splash, but simply the result of a mother unwilling to be apart from her child. "She never leaves the baby, only if she runs out for a quick errand. She is there in the nursery all the time because she doesn't want to miss a moment," the insider said. "She holds the baby all the time because she wants to bond."

The native New Yorker, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is said to be happiest at the Marin County property for now, though she also owns a $22.5 million mansion in Malibu. "She wants to stay home, but she also has to travel and she really wants to spend some time in New York with her family so they can get to know the baby, so watch for her to go back east soon," the insider added.

Years of pregnancy speculation
The baby's arrival comes after years of pregnancy rumors surrounding Gaga, which intensified after she and tech entrepreneur Polansky got engaged in April 2024. That summer, footage emerged of Gaga performing at her sister Natali Germanotta's wedding in Maine, prompting one fan to write online, "Lady Gaga randomly being pregnant and married." Gaga shut down the speculation at the time, writing on TikTok, "Not pregnant - just down bad crying at the gym."

Despite the denials, the notoriously private star had never hidden her desire to become a mother. In a March 2025 interview with the New York Times, she said she was excited to be a mom despite once having a lot of apprehension about it, adding that she was at war with herself sometimes as she prepared to become a parent, describing an incredible amount of narcissism in a day that revolved entirely around her.

'She won the lottery,' source says of Polansky
That apprehension appears to have faded since the baby's arrival. "She is also more in love with Michael than ever. He has been so wonderful, he has done everything to make her happy and feel safe. She feels like she won the lottery with him," the source said. "She says he is the perfect man in every way."
Gaga and Polansky began dating in 2019 after meeting at fellow tech entrepreneur Sean Parker's 40th birthday party in Los Angeles. They went public that New Year's Eve in Las Vegas before making the relationship Instagram official weeks later with a photo from a boat. Polansky proposed on April Fools' Day in 2024 while the couple were out rock climbing.
New music already in the works
Despite her quieter chapter, the source said fans need not worry that Gaga is stepping away from music. "Gaga will make music soon, she can never not make music because her brain is always on songs, she is super creative," the insider said. "She has already written her baby some lullabies, she told friends. She is so creative that way. She sings to her baby all the time, of course."
Representatives for Lady Gaga have been contacted for comment.
