Colombian singer Karol G and American artist Bruno Mars released the official music video for their duet Still on Wednesday, featuring footage recorded at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The black-and-white visual was recorded on August 15 during a concert performance on the singer's Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour.
The video features the two performers singing in dressing rooms, walking through the stadium stands, and taking the stage together in front of a completely full venue. Karol G, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, is one of Latin music's most prominent global artists, while Bruno Mars is a multi-Grammy Award-winning American singer and producer. SoFi Stadium is a major sports and entertainment arena located in Inglewood, California, within the Los Angeles area.
Social Media Teasers and Collaboration
In the production, the two artists embrace and showcase a close relationship that they had previously displayed in social media posts following the August 7 launch of Karol G's album No me arrepiento de sentir tanto, which contains the track.
Last week, the Colombian singer, who often uses the artistic nickname La Bichota, posted ten photographs on Instagram featuring Mars. In several of the images, the artists appear celebrating, sharing a glass of champagne, and eating a cake bearing the message Welcome Karol G along with the official logo of her world tour.
Mars also shared a post on his social media accounts set to the music of Still. In his post, the American artist wrote that when a person only wants peace, they end up falling in love with a Latina woman.
Album Tracks and Spotify Chart Success
The single Still is included on Karol G's newest album, No me arrepiento de sentir tanto, which premiered on August 7. The release comes just one year after Tropicoqueta, her tribute album to Latin roots that serves as the foundation for her current tour.
Beyond her work with Mars, the album includes the song Ahí with Canadian rapper Drake, as well as BbY WOW featuring Spanish performers Judeline and Rusowsky. The track BbY WOW has occupied the number 1 spot on Spotify's Top 50 Global chart for five consecutive days. Spotify is a worldwide audio streaming service, and its Top 50 Global chart measures the most played tracks internationally each day.
The album features nine additional tracks: Te llevas To, Maybe, Bebiendo Lágrimas, Final feliz, Alguien que te amaba, For u My lova, Si lo ven, Con quién andará, and Eclipse.
In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Karol G discussed her sixth career studio album, stating that the project represents a doorway into a more intimate side of Carolina.
Earthquake Relief and Humanitarian Aid
In addition to her musical work and concert schedule, the artist recently contributed to disaster relief in South America. On August 23, Karol G participated virtually in the Colombia: Voces por la vida benefit concert.
The virtual charity event was organized to help victims of a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10. During her appearance, the singer announced a donation of one million dollars to aid recovery efforts across the country.
