Pregnant Kaley Cuoco shared a kiss with her fiancé Tom Pelphrey after his emotional acceptance speech at the 2026 Emmy Awards left her in floods of tears on Monday.
The former Big Bang Theory star, 40, could not contain her emotions as Pelphrey, 44, paid tribute to her on stage after picking up his first Emmy, for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Task.
Cuoco was seen wiping away tears as the camera captured her sobbing during her fiancé's speech.
An Emotional Emmys Speech
"Wow. This is incredible. Thank you. I thank god for my life and my sobriety," Pelphrey said. "I thank my family and my friends for all your love and support all these years from Emmys to, you know, black box theaters and everything in between."
He then turned his attention to Cuoco. "And to my favorite actor in this room, my love, my best friend, my partner, the very pregnant Kaley - I love you more than anything, and our family is the crown jewel of my life," he said.
"Matilda, daddy loves you. Baby girl, daddy loves you. Thank you. God bless," he added.
Cuoco showed off her blossoming bump in a Christian Siriano pink gown with cut-outs across the waist, while Pelphrey looked dapper in a suit and bow tie.
Expecting Their Second Child
The couple are already parents to their three-year-old daughter, Matilda, and are expecting their second child together.
Cuoco enlisted Pelphrey and their toddler to help announce the pregnancy earlier this summer, with the trio posing for a family portrait alongside a gender reveal cake. She shared the photos, along with baby bump mirror selfies, on Instagram, revealing that Matilda will soon have a little sister.
"Completing our little family, what a dream come true!" she wrote in the caption. "This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways, but wow we are so grateful for this moment!!"
She continued, "Little sissy on the way!!! @tommypelphrey girl dad for life and yes, the last pic is our dainty princess giving us the middle finger!"
How They Met
Cuoco and Pelphrey have been together for four years, having met in April 2022 after their mutual talent manager played matchmaker. Pelphrey proposed, and the couple announced their engagement in August 2024.
In November 2024, Cuoco spoke to E! News about striving to be the best parent she can be, addressing mom-shaming critics directly. "Every mom I can guarantee is doing the best they can," she said. "Look, everyone's got something to say about everything. There's no change before I had kids, to having kids, to where I am in my life."
"It's just this business, it's this life. It is what it is. But yeah, we got to stop at the shaming," she added.
Cuoco, who gave birth to Matilda in early 2023, said her daughter is "the happiest kid in the world" and has plenty of "love around her." "I just feel like every kid is so different. What's good for your kid might not be good for mine," she said.
Other Big Winners at the 2026 Emmys
Pelphrey's win for Task came on a night that saw The Pitt take Outstanding Drama Series, led by star Noah Wyle, while Widow's Bay won Outstanding Comedy Series. DTF St Louis won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
Rhea Seehorn won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Pluribus, and Matthew Rhys had a standout night, winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow's Bay and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series for The Beast in Me, becoming the first actor to win two leading actor awards in one night.
Sally Field picked up a surprise win for Remarkably Bright Creatures, and Stephen Colbert was honored for his now-canceled talk show, The Late Show. Katie Dippold had a big night for Widow's Bay, winning for outstanding writing, and Hiro Murai won Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for the same show.
