The Embassy of Japan has updated document requirements for Russian citizens applying for visas, according to the Telegram channel Uletet.

Travelers from the Russian Federation must now confirm their employment and income when submitting a visa application. Company employees are required to provide a salary certificate or a 2-NDFL tax form.
Individual entrepreneurs must present an extract from the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs, known as EGRIP, along with proof of income. A certificate of registration as an individual entrepreneur and a tax registration document are no longer required.
